Hostel Katunayake At Colombo Airport Transit

Excellent resting place before our flight home. Very convenient for the airport and train station. Stylish house with good kitchen facilities. The host brought an evening meal for us from a nearby restaurant. Nice garden too. The changed my reservation after confirmation !! But the owner tried to help by sending us to a nearby hostel for the same price. which was a dump!!! Disappointment! Warm and friendly hosts opening up their comfortable home. Everything was provided for. They arranged rides for us and gave us great suggestions for our trip. Their smiles made feel so welcomed and comfortable. Good breakfast, close to airport without too much noise. Close to local train line into Colombo. There was confusion with the taxi I had arranged, but the man allowed me to eat a late breakfast.

I stayed at Hostel Katunayake for one night as I had a late flight arrival. The proximity to the airport was perfect, just a short and inexpensive Uber ride away. The hostel was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helped my friend settle in when she arrived later. The self-service breakfast had everything we needed. it was a great stay.

The rooms at Hostel Katunayake were perfect for me. The cozy seating area and TV made me feel right at home. I also loved having a safety deposit box to keep my valuables secure. And let's not forget the air conditioning, which kept me cool throughout my stay. The bed linen and towels provided were a nice touch. I had a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

I personally didn't care for the desk in the air-conditioned rooms. But hey, that's just my preference.

The location of the hostel is not ideal as it is far from the airport, requiring a taxi or tuk tuk ride. the staff are very helpful and even provided a drop off service to the bus stop. the rooms have comfortable king size double beds with air conditioning and a fan. the facilities are clean and well-maintained, providing everything a guest may need. the friendly staff make the stay enjoyable and the value for money is excellent.

Transportation to and from the airport is not organized by the hostel, which can be inconvenient and may result in overpriced taxi fares.

I got great value for my money at this hotel. The room was comfortable, with a universal powerboard and a cool atmosphere thanks to the cathedral ceilings. The staff were very accommodating and even allowed me to have a late breakfast after a mix-up with my taxi. The proximity to the airport and the helpfulness of the staff made for a convenient and pleasant stay.
